1. Engine Speed Sensor

Testing is a bit challenging since there are two pins for the connector and they serve different purposes but the most effective method of testing it is by measuring resistance between the sensor and the ECU. It should read about 1000 ohms if the sensor is operating at its maximum. If you're having issues with this component, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.

2. Injectors

Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant decrease in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked in gasoline, and the fourth was unclean. When i crank the engine, there are no sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each hole in the injector, the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is in another place.

I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The car will start when the G28 is not plugged in and is running fine when it is connected, but still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.

I'm not sure what to do, i think i've pretty much eliminated everything else. However, i'm afraid that I may have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor.
