Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

Components

Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Leveling
